This conference is focused on cyberworlds and all related issues, including (but not limited to) computer graphics, shape modeling, user interfaces, virtual worlds, multimodal interaction and rendering, computer vision for augmented and mixed reality, multiplayer online games, social and affective computing, and cognitive informatics.

The topics covered by Cyberworlds 2014 will include but are not limited to:

Publication

Submission categories include full paper (up to 8 pages), short paper (up to 4 pages), and poster paper (up to 4 pages). All papers will be published in the same conference proceedings. Full papers and short papers will be scheduled for oral presentation, poster papers will be presented during the poster session.

As a novelty, this year we will also publish poster papers (up to 4 pages) in the conference proceedings. This makes CW’2014 an excellent forum for Ph.D./Master/Graduate students to show their most recent activity. This is also a good opportunity for research groups to disseminate their work-in-progress. Poster papers will also have the opportunity to make a brief oral presentation (fast-foward format) in addition to the classical poster session.

All accepted submissions will be included in the conference proceedings to be published by Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and submitted to the IEEE Xplore and Computer Society digital library, and for indexing through INSPEC, EI (Compendex), Thomson ISI, and other indexing services.

 

Authors of all accepted full papers and selected short papers will be invited to submit a revised extended version to the special issues of the following international journals:

	The Visual Computer (Springer)  SCI-indexed journal
	Transactions on Computational Science (Springer)
	International Journal of Art, Culture and Design Technologies (IGI Global)
	International Journal of Biometrics (Inderscience)

Special Session Proposals:

CYBERWORLDS 2014 conference accepts proposals for special sessions on a specific topic of the conference. If you are interested to organize a special session, please send your proposal to the general chair:

The following information is required:

• Title of the Special Session.
• Name, affiliation, mailing address and e-mail address of the Special Session organizer(s).
• Previous experience of the organizer(s) in Conference/Special Session/Workshop organization.
• Description of the topic of the Special Session.
• A short description on how the Special Session will be advertised.

 

The information provided by the Special Session organizer(s) to the Conference Chairs  shall remain strictly confidential.

The Special Session Chairs are  fully responsible for ensuring that only high quality papers are selected and for verifying the correctness of the layout adopted by the authors. They are also responsible for monitoring the reviewing process, in collaboration with the Conference Program Chairs. Special Sessions are allowed to have their own special issues at journals with extended versions of the accepted papers for the session.

Of course, Special Session Chairs are expected to attend CYBERWORLDS 2014, set the order of presentations and chair their respective Special Session.
